Officials have even said that China is training their ground forces to “fight and win.” This, compounded with the fact that China has been aggressively trying to commandeer the entirety of the South China Sea, is more than mildly alarming.
The annual report which is given to Congress “highlights China’s growing military, economic and diplomatic clout” and that “Beijing is leveraging this to rapidly build its international footprint and establish regional dominance.”
Many “evil” capitalists warned that communists wanted to acquire U.S. jobs, undercut American productivity by paying slave wages to their people, then gain enough power that no one dared to stop them. It would seem that such “paranoid” thinking has proven true, after all.
Today, China is gearing up and ramping up their Air Force and they aim to have their “air power” at a state where they can strike targets far removed from the Orient.
As it stands, America doesn’t even make all of their own military components…they are made by China.
“Over the last three years, the PLA (People’s Liberation Army) has rapidly expanded its overwater bomber operating areas, gaining experience in critical maritime regions and likely training for strikes against US and allied targets,” the report proclaimed.
It also says that PLA is developing the “capability to strike US and allied forces and military bases in the western Pacific Ocean, including Guam.” They aim to have a “world-class military” by 2050, and with so much of the West happy to chase the low costs that come with Chinese slave labor, they may likely have the funds to meet their goal.
Already, with a million troops, China has the largest military ground force in the world. That means that conventional warfare could very easily go nuclear in a toe to toe battle just to be able to defeat them, at least in theory.
“The purpose of these reforms is to create a more mobile, modular, lethal ground force capable of being the core of joint operations and able to meet Xi Jinping’s directive to ‘fight and win wars,'” the report also made clear. This was a mandate given by none other than China’s leader himself, Xi.
China seems to be ready to take Taiwan back and may be willing to fight to do it, as well. “The PLA also is likely preparing for a contingency to unify Taiwan with China by force, while simultaneously deterring, delaying, or denying any third-party intervention on Taiwan’s behalf,” the same reported stated. “Should the United States intervene, China would try to delay effective intervention and seek victory in a high-intensity, limited war of short duration.”
While China has stopped taking over territories that are not theirs (often along major trade routes which they helped to establish in deals that they have willingly agreed to over the years), they have built up what they already have illegally taken. “However, it continued to build infrastructure at three outposts,” added the report.
When issues like this arise in the world, America can be thankful that they have a real deal-maker in the Oval Office, one who is not a war hawk. That said, if China keeps acting as they are, if they are being led by those looking for a fight, Mr. Trump has also promised a military so strong that he hopes that it never needs to be used.
