Israel Makes A Stand, Deploys Tanks And Snipers Along Gaza Border

Israel has taken the gloves off when it comes to Gaza.

In America, troops may be heading to the border to stop an illegal and dangerous caravan which plans to try and stomp over U.S. borders. That, however, is not nearly as frightful as the reason why Israel is deploying snipers, tanks, and other forms of weaponry, as the Times of Israel observed just today.

Gaza, an area that the Jewish people have had only grief from since they gave the land to Arabs for supposed peace, is again seeing turmoil. Demonstrators have begun setting tires on fire as protests are set to begin. Hamas is gearing up for more of the hateful actions which have already caused so much sorrow in the region as rioters plan to continue their assault.

Hamas is protesting because Israel refuses to allow the violence that many Muslims hurl at them to go unanswered. This violence exists because a very large fraction of the Islamic community does not wish to acknowledge the simple fact that the land of Israel is historically Jewish land, a fact born out by even secular history.

As the smoke billows (to hide identities or to foil snipers), stones are cast towards Israeli soldiers who have done nothing to provoke such a heated response save to protect themselves from attack. The black smoke also allows for attempts to be made to scale the fence that was meant to keep the border peaceful.

The soldiers were forced to use tear gas and even live ammunition as Muslims in Gaza acted in ways which gave no other alternative. One person “appeared to have been shot,” though his condition is not known at this time.

Twelve Palestinians were killed and hundreds were wounded by Israel’s responses, but if Hamas and others would quit acting as they have been, such actions would not be taking place.

The community of Khuzaa has tents lined up along the fence, so clearly, many violent protesters have yet to learn their lesson.

A “sand berm” has gone up and the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) has said since the morning hours that “there were violent protests at five sites along the Gaza border in which hundreds of Palestinians were taking part.” They have refused, as they should have, any calls to capitulate or apologize for simply defending themselves against seemingly barbaric Muslim hordes.

Our forces will not allow any harm to the security infrastructure and the fence that protects Israeli citizens,” the Jewish state also said. The area in question is “a closed military zone,” so the reason for the security is quite clear.

The abhorrent “March of Return” that is taking place is about eliminating the border and erasing Israel from the map, a foul plan that many Arabs have longed to see happen for decades.

All of this stems from the fact that “Hamas violently took control of Gaza from Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah in 2007, two years after Israel withdraw its military and civilian presence from the Strip.” As expected, the “moderate” Arabs lost control of the area after pledging peace towards the rightful Jewish state.

President Donald Trump’s Mideast envoy Jason Greenblatt has shown that the problem is one created by Hamas and those who support them, not from the Jews. It is Hamas that is forking over between “$200 to $500 per injury and $3,000 per death,” as the blood money practice which is already frowned upon by the U.S. carries on.

Greenblatt made it very clear how protesting Palestinians can remain alive, too. They “should remain outside the 500-meter buffer zone, and should not approach the border fence in any way or any location.” It can simply not be spelled out any clearer, regardless of what foolish dreams of conquest some terrorists and those of their ilk would like to see to the contrary.

We condemn leaders and protestors who call for violence or who send protestors — including children — to the fence, knowing that they may be injured or killed. Instead, we call for a renewed focus by all parties on finding solutions to the dire humanitarian challenges facing Gazans,” the envoy added.

This last statement shows how it is not Israel that is gunning down children for no reason any more than it was American soldiers shooting children for fun in Vietnam, as was reported at the time. Instead, much like the Vietnamese, Hamas is placing children purposefully where warriors have no choice but to act against them.

As this reality is known and the protests gear up for another day, let’s hope that calmer heads prevail before any more lives are lost. If not, those who perish may have only themselves to blame.
