While every outlet is free to post any image that they wish of the Commander in Chief, everyone in society is free to stop supporting those who post graphics which are distasteful and against the larger truth. As the Hill has confirmed today, that kind of support withdrawal may be in order for New York magazine as they ran with a “new cover depicting the president as a pig.”
Certainly, cheating on his wife with a pornstar shortly they were married as not the kindest, most moral gesture in the world, if true. Still, this tryst did not happen during President Donald Trump’s time in office, as so many affairs on both the left and right have. Why is it that President Trump gets portrayed as a pig? If New York Magazine was referring only to this, it did not happen during his time in the Oval Office and does not mean that he forgot to put other interests ahead of himself, as implied in the article.
The baiting headline reads: “Not Collusion… Not Incompetence… Not Cruelty… It’s the Corruption, Stupid. Why His Self-Dealing is His Biggest Political Liability.” It seems for this fake news haven, simply stating facts makes one guilty of “self-dealing.” After all, that is all that Mr. Trump has done to deserve the attack.

“Since Trump took office, his pledge to ignore his own interests has been almost forgotten, lost in a disorienting hurricane of endless news, “writes the author, Jonathan Chait, incorrectly. He is confusing the need that Mr. Trump has to defend himself against lies and fake news with being obsessed with his “own interests,” which are vastly different. Ignoring self-interests does not apply to allowing lies and slander to be spoken about one’s self, as the president has shown.
“It is not just a morbid joke but a legitimate problem for the opposition that all the bad news about Trump keeps getting obscured by other bad news about Trump,” Chait also opined. Of course, he leaves off the detail that almost all of these bad news hit pieces are as fake as the piggie nose that adorns their cover!
The leftist author also typed, “Not only has Trump made no effort to raise ethical standards but he and his administration have flamboyantly violated the existing guidelines. Lobbyists are seeded in every agency, ‘regulating’ their former employers and designing rules that favor bosses over employees and business owners over consumers.”
If this were just the work of people offended by a supposed romp with a pornstar, some of the outrages that are being heard would be merited, yet that deed it is all but ignored in the piece.
Therefore, President Trump is being attacked for the way that he is running the nation, something which he has done almost flawlessly!
For example, while New York magazine attacks the White House, peace with North Korea may be achieved. NAFTA is being reworked so that wages will go up, the TPP has been trashed, and China has found that they may not hold America hostage on the economic world stage, too.
Likewise, ISIS is crumbling like dry leaves, Putin is set to talk with America (ending Cold War 2.o?), and low taxes are causing a hiring frenzy as wages go up.
Therefore, perhaps the pig snout was misplaced, just like most of the liberal logic that went behind it.
