Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has said over and over again that President Trump’s border wall is an idea that will “divide border towns” and simply not work, according to the American Mirror. However, facts seem to greatly dispute her claims, something that Ranchers John Ladd and Fred Davis have witnessed firsthand. He has observed a 90% drop in the number of illegals crossing ever since the election of Donald J. Trump into office. Ladd even invited the outspoken Pelosi for a visit but the Democrat seems to be hiding, cowering away from facts that she dislikes.
“All the communities that I know about, all the cities along the border, already have high fences,” said Ladd on Fox News. He added, “Where the wall is necessary is in a lot of the outlying areas that still only have a four-wire barbed-wire fence between Mexico and us.” Pelosi opposes this not because it won’t work, but rather because she can’t pull more Democratic votes from “oppressed” people when it does!
Pelosi’s stance is that building a wall is a “sign of weakness,” according to Fox. The only “weakness” seen is the fact that our border is currently broken, a prime target for criminals, terrorists, and human trafficking. To this, Davis says “You’ve got to put boots on the ground to make it effective, and that’s been part of the problem on what places they have a wall now.” That means that any “weakness” will be solved by the President’s construction, not worsened by it.
For this reason, it can not be imagined that Pelosi is going to do anything even resembling a visit to where the people are actually affected and who can prove her to be even more mistaken about this topic. Democrats don’t often go to the scene of anything unless if helps them highlight some “great way” that liberalism helps in some way. In terms of the border, there are no signs that such a thing is, or ever was the case.
