Earlier this week Conservative Daily Post reported on a New York gubernatorial candidate with a history of violent mental illness. That is sounding like child’s play when compared to the man running in Virginia. His ability to be a candidate was made possible by Governor Terry McAuliffe, a Democrat and long-time friend and fundraiser for the Clintons.
McAuliffe developed the law that citizens with felony convictions should be allowed to vote. With that right restored, they also gained the right to run for office. Enter Nathan Larson and his terrible past.
Larson is the Libertarian in the race for a House of Delegates seat in the state.
He is up against a Republican and Democrat. His history is very scary. According to the Fauquier Times;
“Nathan Larson…was convicted in 2009 for threatening the president of United States,” according to court documents. Larson pleaded guilty in May 2009 to charges related to emails he sent the U.S. Secret Service in December 2008, stating, ‘I am writing to inform you that in the near future, I will kill the president of the United States of America.’”
Unsurprisingly, the Secret Service went to interview Larson where he then informed them that he “stood by what he said and that he was serious about carrying out his threat.”
He was sentenced to 16 months in federal prison and three years of supervised release. Now he lives in Virginia with his parents.
To say that he has some outlandish ideas for his platform would be a massive understatement. Among them;
- An anti-feminist platform.
- Repeal the 19th Amendment so women will once again be forbidden to vote.
- Abolish state funding for girls and women to attend school.
- Allow incestuous marriage.
- Allow men to have multiple wives and discipline them.
- Abolish Virginia’s Child Protective Services
In 2015 Larson and his former in-laws were involved in a custody dispute over his 2-year-old daughter. The Fauquier Times writes;
“Larson reportedly admitted in written correspondence to his former spouse, who committed suicide, that he harbored some sexual attraction to both children and adults. According to the Colorado Springs Independent, a jury ruled against Larson’s efforts to gain custody of his daughter.”
He also states that he believes the possession and distribution of child pornography should be legalized.
Virginia citizens should be lining up to thank Governor McAuliffe for dumping this crazed man on the state.
