In what can only be seen as a dramatic turning of the tables, Special Counsel Robert Mueller is being sued. Liberals have been strangely silent as Paul Manafort, President Trump’s former campaign manager is going after Mueller along with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
Manafort and his legal team claim that the Russia probe, commonly known as a witch hunt, went far beyond the scope of regulations in place. Deputy AG Rosenstein was the one who appointed Mueller.
The complaint states;
“Those alleged dealings had no connection whatsoever to the 2016 presidential election or even to Donald Trump.”

The dealings indicated are allegations of money laundering and making false statements. These are the crimes that Mueller indicted Manafort and his business partner Rick Gates for in October. Both have pled not guilty.
The 18-page civil complaint filed by Manafort also claims;
“The investigation of Mr. Manafort is completely unmoored from the special counsel’s original jurisdiction to investigate ‘any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump.’”
Manafort’s team is asking a judge to “hold those actions unlawful and set them aside.”

Gates and Manafort are two of the few people who have actually had action taken against them during this year-long mess. Mueller has been “investigating” President Trump but what has he discovered pointing to any wrongdoing by the president? Absolutely nothing. And yet just today, Conservative Daily Post reported that Dems are promising to keep the probe going.
Manafort is alleging that he has been “injured” by the investigation. His complaint states that it has caused him “significant reputational harm, has exposed him to invasions of his personal privacy, and has forced him to incur substantial costs and expenses to defend himself.”
Neither the Justice Department nor the Special Counsel’s office has commented on the lawsuit yet.
